Stories are usually very descriptive. Synonyms and antonyms can help you enrich your story and learn new words.

3. Read the following story and replace the colored words with a synonym (S) or an antonym (A).
Once upon a time there was an old king (S) who had a kind (A) daughter. The girl (S) wanted desperately to marry one of the king's soldiers (S), but the king didn't approve (S). The girl decided to flee (S) with the soldier. When the king found out (S), he got ill (S). The girl and the soldier married in the woods (S). After the wedding, the couple met a terrible (A) monster (S) who told them about the king. The girl felt sad (S). The monster told her that he could help. He gave the girl a potion (S) to become invisible and a magic carpet. With that, the girl flew every night to see her father, (S) but he couldn't hear her. She whispered words about her life and told him how happy (A) she was.
